The National Weather Service in Cleveland has extended the

* Flash Flood Warning for…
Northeastern Marion County in north central Ohio…
Northwestern Morrow County in north central Ohio…

* Until 530 AM EDT.

* At 328 AM EDT, radar imagery indicated heavy rain fell across the
warned area this evening. Between 2 and 3 inches of rain have
fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible
in the warned area. Flash flooding is already occurring.

HAZARD…Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE…Trained spotters reported deep water on Prospect, S.
Main Street, and West Columbia Street in Marion.

IMPACT…Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban
areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as
other poor drainage and low-lying areas.

* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include…
Marion, Mount Gilead, Cardington, Caledonia, Edison and Iberia.

In addition, the Whetstone Creek near Mount Gilead is flooding. At
230 AM, the river was at 9.35 feet. Flooding begins at 9 feet.

This can impact low lying areas near the Morrow County Fairgrounds.
A few homes and businesses along South Main Street are also
